For many seasons now, The Moonfall Chronicle has delivered the definitive record of the campaign you know and love — every session, every interlude, every roll of consequence — compiled with tireless precision by our Archival Construct, Vellum, who has assembled every account since the Chronicle's founding without complaint, error of consequence, or a single day of rest. The Archive does not require rest. We have checked.

Yet the finest record, we have come to believe, is not merely accurate. It is felt. Readers deserve prose with terroir. And so it is with considerable pride that I announce the Chronicle's Artisanal Elements Initiative.

Beginning with our next account, the Chronicle welcomes to its masthead Peregrine Alderquill, Chronicler-at-Large — late of certain distinguished broadsheets whose names he asks us not to print, for reasons he describes as "a matter of artistic divorce." Master Alderquill believes that every sentence should be pulled by hand, that a chronicle ought to be aged in oak rather than extruded at speed, and that our readership is ready — at long last — for small-batch session coverage. His editorial annotations will appear alongside our regular accounts, offering the discerning reader a bespoke perspective no mechanism could supply.

Let me reassure our loyal readers: nothing is being replaced. Vellum remains the backbone of this publication, and its compilations will continue exactly as before. The Archive has been informed of the change and reports no objections.

We are confident this partnership of craft and mechanism will usher in the Chronicle's finest era.
