Justin Hale: you about, sonar, radar, your prowar, all those things. Um, this is sitting dormant right now because I'm waiting for everything to migrate over, but this will be this will be cool. Um, I can actually set these up in node clusters as well. So like the two the two laptops that I

Justin Hale: have, I can set them both as Proxmox uh

Justin Hale: containers and then uh essentially like parody backup to each other. So, if like the MacBook Pro ever dies or uh goes down for whatever reason, it'll automatically pull the backup from the UNAS and spin all those services back up on the other laptop like without me even knowing

Justin Hale: No, Plex is Plex is dead at the moment. The uh the UNAS is building the RAID parody while also moving a bunch of data. So, it's like at 100% uh

Justin Hale: Yes, that's going to be great though because that frees up the uh my Mac Mini to exclusively be there for like Plex streaming so I can run. Before the Mac Mini was doing everything. It

Justin Hale: was running all the servers. It was the direct connection storage. It was running Plex
Christopher Hooper: right.
Justin Hale: and then I was running the tuner which is like the channels
Christopher Hooper: Mhm.
Justin Hale: uh the playlist channels basically. So it was doing all
Christopher Hooper: Mhm.
Justin Hale: that and it only has eight gigs of RAM so it was just maxing out the RAM the whole time and then it would write to VRAM which would then hit the CPU and it was just like a domino effect of issues. So having that old MacBook offload all of those processes except for Plex basically just makes the Mac Mini a Plex machine.
Christopher Hooper: What's uh and you have another machine for the rest of the
Justin Hale: Yeah. So, I have an old
Christopher Hooper: server? Okay.
Justin Hale: 2017 MacBook Pro. It's an old Intelbased machine that I just uh I blew out the Mac OS on it and put Proxmox on it. So, it's running a hypervisor container that runs uh DBN13, which is essentially a headless Abuntu. Um, and then that's running all of those processes automatically. So, it's running
Christopher Hooper: Okay.
Justin Hale: Prowler, uh, radar, sonar, and SAB. So, all of that stuff is still completely automatic. And then that will feed directly into the Plex, uh, media library on the UNAS. So, everything will be served up from the UNAS itself. And then that pulls basically what that does is everything in our house is direct play. so that it's not actually like transcoding anything. So like if you're streaming like Australian Survivor at
Christopher Hooper: Okay. Yes.
Justin Hale: your house, the Mini has to stream it to you because it's
Christopher Hooper: Right.
Justin Hale: downscaling for the uh part of it. But in the house, um because we're directly connected to the local network, it's able to just basically say this file on the

Justin Hale: UNAS, serve that up to that Apple TV. So like the Mac Mini is not
Christopher Hooper: Right. The native resolution. Right.

Justin Hale: though, yeah, that frees it up to like whatever resolution you can get it to play at. The Mac Mini will now like have the resources available to do that now. So, that's going to be way better. And then uh eventually I'll upgrade to an

Justin Hale: M4 and then I I can run like something like 16 concurrent streams at the same time. It's like

Tyram: blasted you with her moon laser and everything. Um there's that dragon goddess that's trapped in her pocket prison. Um, and you seem to be pretty down and out. There's all sorts of portals opening up everywhere and there's void devils crashing my birthday party. We were just wondering if you could like fill us in on like the the big picture here like and you know just let us know if there's something we can do about all that.
Christopher Hooper: I think that and she gives you she gives you a moment where she is thinking for herself. self. Um, and then she says, "I think that a lot of this started because it's often hard when a god um, stops considering what mortals can do." I think that started with the dwarves and when they imprisoned Astroenos Noxis and I think that that was what originally started thinning the veil and I didn't worry about it at the time but I realized that modal behind. As much as I ran into it myself, I also was a mortal that ascended to godhood. Um, and it was because it was the only option I had. Um, otherwise we would have destroyed the world. And so I knew the only way to to keep the people I love safe was to remove myself. But I think there are people that realize that there's great power in godhood. And in fact, all it takes is belief. And if you can convince people to believe something, then there's power in that. I think that that's what the Aldorian Empire has realized is they sought to move mortal Kind into a position of power by using these beliefs in themselves. And I know there are people in your party that are empowered by their beliefs and and have become very strong. I'm still trying to make sense of it and trying to understand if there's a peace that we can find. I think that in my own story, it was very hard to find peace that you had to sacrifice a lot of yourself and a lot of your own power in your own decisions to be able to find a balance in the world. And I don't know yet what the balance looks like. If we have gods if we have gods and mortals who are treating each other with respect or whether we don't have gods and we let mortal kind control all I think for yourself I think you as most mortals do need to think about your own path and how best you can survive. I think that there's a lot of answers to that question. I I don't know. I I think it begins there's the question of the orb. I think sealing it is one solution that opens another problem. So if you seal the orb and the sealed orb keeps Astro from culling a lot of these void beings that are running rampant and reduces uh thins the the veil between the worlds. Is that okay? Is that going to be something that y'all can deal with? Or maybe you can y'all are cany. I've seen maybe you can come up with another another

In her heart, she wants to consume all the whole universe. I think that Nuraxis um they have found a balance between the between being able to continue to create and produce in the chaotic space of Nuraxis versus consume and slow and eliminate through the void. And I don't know where that sits now. I know that Maraxis and Astro are very close and I would not be surprised if he were here soon, especially given I maybe it's vain of me to think, but I think he would be quite enraged about the attack on me. And I do worry that his wrath may scorch the very earth we live

Christopher Hooper: almost like incredible bright white light. And it I think it came from um I want to say there was like a like a dish or a bowl that it came from the center of it. Um uh one of those uh they have these like floating things in space that they look like a a bowl with the little tongs coming from it and it looked like a giant one of those mounted to the side of it and it seemed to come from that. Um, I could see that it did the the whole the whole you call it um spacecraft. I think the whole spacecraft seemed to glow right before it it fired fired this great white beam at me. Um, and it it shattered me. It uh pulled me back into my my human form. And um it it destroyed me beyond just my physical form. It shattered me in the weep, the fabric itself. And and that's what I couldn't understand. As I was falling and crying out, it seemed like I was burning not in just my body, but my spirit. And I could feel my connection to my followers diminishing instantly as if as if they they lost that spiritual touch with me. Something about this this laser. It's more than just a a gun. It it moves across um moves across these dimensions that we that we interact with in belief. And I don't know, it it was more terrible than anything I've experienced
