Helisanna's Guitar-Axe

Magic item (pact weapon) • Helisanna; not seen since Session 36

Overview

The guitar-axe is Helisanna Doomfall's pact weapon: an axe that doubles as the electric guitar she played as frontwoman of Doomfall. She told Olivia she received her magic and her instrument through her pact (Session 23), made with the patron later named as Y'chek. It has not appeared since Session 36, when Helisanna, then living apart from the party, played in the Iron Claws throne room. Since Session 57 Helisanna and Leliana have been one woman who switches personas with the Blue Moon guitar. Whether Helisanna mode brings the guitar-axe back out is unknown.

Properties

  • A weapon and an instrument in one. Helisanna cleaved wolves with it in melee (Session 11) and attacked a night hag with it after casting Hex (Interlude 2).
  • Purple mist and energy stream from it when she plays; in Session 16 the mist carried her bardic inspiration to the party.
  • Her music through it reaches minds: in Session 33 a riff sent streams of energy into a mosh, and three ravers froze.
