Overview​

Lark is a muscular woman with an Iron Claws tattoo who turned against the Iron Claws. She traded her knowledge of High Forge's tunnels for the party's help getting her family out of the city. After the rescue in Session 26, she took her family to safety and said she would think about coming back to help the resistance. As of Session 63 she has not reappeared.

First Contact​

In Session 25, while the party was preparing to return to High Forge, Lark approached Helisanna. She told the party:

  • Taco Cat had a bounty of 50,000 on them, dead or alive, and Helja had put an especially large price on Silas.
  • The Iron Claws were actively hunting the party.
  • She knew the Iron Claws' tunnel patrol patterns and safe routes into the city.

She wanted help rescuing the family of her brother Tony, dog included, from High Forge. She gave the party a sending stone to coordinate the infiltration.

The Rescue​

In Session 26, Lark supplied detailed tunnel maps marked with Iron Claws patrol routes. Helisanna used Scarlet's magical paint to draw new passages on the map, including a direct route to the residential hall where the family was held. Olivia, disguised as an elderly visitor, found Lark's mother Pinky, an elderly dwarf with shocking pink hair, at bingo night. Under cover of Bru's fireworks, Olivia led the family out: Pinky, Lark's brother's wife, two children, and the dog. Ohma guided them through the sewers to the reunion in the tunnels.

Silas then asked Lark where her loyalties lay. She could sell the party out, run, or join the fight. Drawing on his own years working for crime bosses like Helja, he urged her to break free for good. Lark chose to take her family to the city outskirts first and consider returning once they were safe. She gave the party a +6 bonus item as thanks and left on good terms.

Session History​

  • Session 25 — Approaches Helisanna, reveals the party's bounties, offers tunnel guidance in exchange for rescuing her brother Tony's family, and hands over a sending stone.
  • Session 26 — Her tunnel maps get the party into High Forge; they rescue her mother Pinky and Tony's family, and she leaves with them, promising to consider returning to the resistance.
