Overview​

Astro (full name: Astroleinomininoirnoxus) is an ancient dragon currently imprisoned within the dragon orb Raingoth, carried by Bru — though Silas is the one who placed it there. She manifests as a massive draconic form made of stardust and starlight when communed with through the orb.

Current Status​

Imprisoned in the dragon orb Raingoth. The binding ritual worked, and both Astro and Silas know it could be tightened further. She is hostile but has shown the first signs of willingness to negotiate.

Session 47 — First Real Dialogue​

Silas entered a psychic communion with the orb (Wisdom save: 29 vs DC 25). Astro appeared in a void of outer space, made of stardust and starlight.

  • Acknowledged the binding worked and that Silas could tighten it
  • Threatened to eat Silas or destroy everyone around him if she ever gets free
  • Silas pointed out the choice is between her and the void devils — neither great
  • On a persuasion check of 26, her posture shifted — the first non-hostile exchange
  • Offered a vague possibility: "What if that happens a long time from now?"
  • Warned Silas to work quickly — others are speaking to her through other orbs

Dragon Scent​

Bru unknowingly carries the orb and has developed a noticeable dragon scent as a side effect. The void devils could smell it during the party's last battle.

  • Aware of her leverage but also aware of the binding's power
  • The "a long time from now" offer suggests she may prefer delayed revenge over eternal imprisonment

Significance​

Astro represents a ticking clock. The party must decide what to do with her before others force the issue through the other orbs. Silas's patient approach — conversation over coercion — is the party's best hope for a resolution that doesn't end in catastrophe.
