Naomi

Half-Orc • Lotus Casino Manager • Silas's Girlfriend

Overview

Naomi is a muscular half-orc in upper management at the Lotus Casino. She is a single mother to a baby son, Julius, and she is Silas Fairbanks's girlfriend. As of Session 63 she is still with Silas. She last appeared in person at his birthday party in the pocket village (Sessions 45–46), where she fought off void beings alongside him. Silas has kept up his devotion from afar ever since, while the party works inside the Eldoran capital.

Meeting Silas

The party first ran into Naomi in Interlude 7, when Bru's fireworks blew mud across the whole casino spa and she had to shut it down for cleaning. Drunk Silas had already wooed her by then. Sober Silas worried he was less charming, so the party backed him up: Helisanna cast Enhanced Ability, Red gave him Emboldening Bond and Guidance, and Elspeth played wingwoman. Naomi agreed to keep seeing him, and he saved her in his sending stone as "Muscle Mommy". She calls him "sugar bear" and "honey bear", and he calls her "honey lamb". Olivia helped look after Julius while Naomi worked.

The Casino Takeover

In Interlude 12, Naomi wrote to Silas for help. Helisanna and her ravers had occupied the Lotus Casino, turned it into a round-the-clock concert venue, and incapacitated its owner, Marvin, and the noise kept Julius awake. Naomi met the party composed and perfectly dressed. In a laundry-room supply closet she had gathered her own "Resistance" of loyal staff and guests, including Spike Bison. She guided the party to the casino's factory-reset failsafe. Activating it sent the ravers home and repaired the casino, but it also relocated the Lotus in space and time, leaving Naomi and Julius cut off for an unknown period. Her parting words were "I'll see you soon, sugar bear."

Silas's Plans for Her

In Session 35, Silas suggested asking Naomi to help stabilize High Forge once the Iron Claws fell, on the reasoning that if she could manage the casino's owner, she could manage a city. The party also floated offering Helisanna a residency at the Lotus. In Session 37, Silas planned to spend a weekend or two with Naomi and Julius. By Session 40, his nightly sending-stone calls to her were a running joke in the party.

The Birthday Party

In Session 45, after the pocket village opened, a door appeared in its fountain glowing like the Lotus portal. Naomi came through it carrying a cake to lead Silas's surprise birthday party. In Session 46, void beings tore through the village sky. Naomi ordered everyone behind her. When a void being hurled the picnic table at the crowd, Silas cut it down the middle and Naomi punched it in half. Afterwards she told Silas one of the beings "smelled a warden" on him.

Since Then

Before the Bradicus audition in Session 55, Silas slipped through the pocket village to the Lotus and left a necklace and a note on Naomi's desk. He told Finnegan: "She's done more to make an honest man out of me than almost anyone else." In Session 62 he told Scarlet about his devotion to her.
